Materials and Supplies

Individual computers and real-time voice recognition and court reporting software are mandatory for Court Reporters. Students must purchase these tools of the trade -- whether they plan on becoming Independent/Freelance Court Reporters or fully-trained professionals in the workplace -- before they can begin the program of study. Students need their own workstation for classroom instruction and for home practice. Computer and software funding arrangements are available to qualified applicants.

Financial Application Process

The school realizes that financing an education can be a complex process. There are a number of options for students to help finance their studies. The school does accept Mastercard and Visa. However, the main source of financial assistance is through SallieMae (SLM) Financial. Financing is available at competitive rates and up to 15 years to qualified students by SLM Financial. SLM will also allow interest-only payments for the length of the program (6 months). SLM will loan to qualified candidates the full amount for tuition and equipment. The SLM website is http://www.slmfinancial.com. You cannot complete the SLM application on-line.

Print out and complete the attached SLM application and fax it to 781-356-3899 or mail it to The New England School of Court Reporting (see our Contact page for an address). Support with completion of the Financial Application is available from school representatives.
